I have finally decided to get my act together and am now preparing for our imminent first born son. After looking through numerous newborn 'must have' lists, I have come up with this (some would say our nursery looks like an IKEA showroom but it is honestly such good value!)

My husband and I currently live in Hong Kong where space is at a premium so any form of stockpiling is limited to our apartment. I have been trying to keep things as simple as possible and only buying what I feel we need or will make our lives as new parents easier, but I am now wondering if we have enough nappies/daipers and wet wipes?

I have only bought one pack of new born (90 pieces), one pack small (88 pieces) and six packs of wet wipes. On one hand, many people have said to us that we can always buy more once the baby is born. On the other hand, I have now come to realise that the baby will likely go through up to 10 changes a day. If this is the case, a single pack of nappies should only last us 9 days!

So at the risk of sounding like an amateur new parent, should I buy more? If so, how many of each size would be a reasonable amount to buy? And approximately how many nappies do new born babies use in their first year (relative to the different sizes) ?
