How long can a UTI last?

For a few weeks now I’ve had the constant urge to pee. It’s a little uncomfortable when I go but not really painful. At first I thought it was a uti but now I’m not sure.
I’ve never heard of a uti lasting that long before

they dont go away on their own.  you need antibiotics to get rid of it. if you dont it will turn into a kidney infection and those are bad and you can end up in the hospital for that. your damaging your kidneys when you have a kidney infection. go to your dr and get antibiotics.

It needs to be treated. They get worse the longer you wait. The infection will spread to your kidneys.

A UTI will last until it is treated. Typically it will get worse if untreated. You should go to the doctor to get it checked out, or they sell UTI test kits in some grocery stores if you want to be sure before going to the doctor. But if you have an infection you will need antibiotics. Side note- I use Uqora to prevent UTIs.

My UTIs used to resolve themselves in 3 days. Now they won’t go away until I get treated. Go get your urine tested and get an STD panel if you’re sexually active because it could be an STD.
