Birthing position?

Have you ladies thought about your birthing position? On your back? Standing up? Just saw a video of a women who had her knees bent on the bed and was faced with her back towards everyone! Any positions easier than others?

I’ve heard on all 4’s or squatting are the best positions, that is if you don’t get the epidural.

If you get an epidural they pretty much make you lay on your back.
All fours is more efficient for pushing because it allows you to really open up. It’s how i delivered my first, took all of 2 pushes to gwtbger out

Whatever is most comfortable except on my back. Laboring on your back is the worst position because it narrows your birth canal.

i'm birthing at a birth center, and will probably give birth in the tub, unless i'm feeling something else.  my plan is pretty much to listen to my body.  might be squatting, on all fours,  not sure!! going to stay away from laying on my back though!

I wanna do all 4s or squatting. I had a really bad hip injury when I was younger (car accident) that hasn’t fully healed and it hurts to lay on my back when I’m not pregnant.

With my first I wanted to give birth on my knees holding on to the top of the bed (so gravity could help) but it turns out it just wasn’t for me, when it comes to it you have to go with what feels right! I ended up on my back with my knees pretty much to my ears 😂 not how I imagined it at all!
