Advice? Cousin sick, contagious?

My husband wants to visit his 3 y/o niece who had a 103 fever last night. Our daughter is 8 months old and I’m terrified he’s going to bring home a virus. Am I being unreasonable to ask him not to visit her?

No. You also wouldn’t be unreasonable to make him get a hotel room if he does lol!

Hell no, I wouldn’t visit/allow anyone that’s had any fevers or sickness’s within the last week near myself or my kids. A 103 fever isn’t just a fever it usually mean virus, virus is more contagious/spreads easier.

If he is close to his niece and wants to visit I wouldn’t stop him, but would ask that he:
Washes his hands before, during, and after the visit and uses hand sanitizer.
Immediately removes his clothes when he walks in (in case he holds her and gets phlegm on them) and tosses the clothes in the laundry 
Hops in the shower right away
Few things are airborne, if he doesn’t get her bodily fluids onto himself and then touch his own face/mouth, he will be fine.

I think I it’s fine if your husband visits his niece. He just needs to change his cloths and wash up before he touches his baby. My husband is a school teacher and is around children (probably some sick) every single day and we’ve never had a issue. You can’t keep your baby in a bubble then need to be exposed to germs and things.
