33 weeks Tuesday...doctor says I’m getting a cervical exam??

So Tuesday I’m 33 weeks....and I also have a doctor appointment 
When the nurse called to confirm the appoint she said I will be getting a cervical exam
I am a  first time mom....what am I in for?

i wonder if they don't tell you if you still get one cuz im 33 weeks too..
And im guessing since my baby is coming early they aren't gonna wait much longer to do the group b strep test on me..? yeah I think i should just prepare for one thank you for the reminder!

They are checking ur cervix to see if ur dialated but im not sure why so early they normally dont check this early unless ur showing signs of needing to be checked so they dont irritate the cervix.

They're gonna check if you're dilating already and if the baby is in head down position already, I believe. I didn't know what that was either lol but I read it on here before.

I’m going in for mine at 35 weeks (because my doctor is on vacation) but it’s nothing to worry about, they just want to check to make sure baby is not breech and see if you’ve started to dilate.
