Birthday gift from significant other?

Would you be a little upset if your fiancé didn’t get you anything for your birthday but you got him something for his birthday?

My husband and I don’t do gifts. We’d rather travel!

Kind of, yes. He didn’t have to go out of his way to get something big, even flowers or something would’ve been good.

I would be upset. Not that gifts are huge to me or anything but even something simple like a card and some flowers or buy me some food. Just acknowledge it in some way.

Yes. My boyfriend didn’t get me anything and I’m still mad about it till this day (my birthday was in June)

Yes. My fiancé and I have always done gifts for birthdays and holidays like Christmas. We will buy each other little things during the rest of the year (flowers, favourite candy, chocolate, etc). But birthdays we spoil each other with something a bit more special. It doesn’t have to be huge though- like it could be a new book, earrings, etc. It doesn’t have to be crazy pricey, but something special for your special someone on their day. If he suddenly stopped giving me gifts I’d be hurt and wonder what happened.

Wouldn’t make me upset 🤷🏼‍♀️. When I do thinks for my husband, I do it without expecting anything in return. Birthdays aren’t really a big deal to me, now that I’m an adult.

I don't do well recieving gifts so it wouldn't bother me. I'm sure everyone is different
