Save the date 4-6 months in advance, especially for out of town guests so they can plan. Invitations about 8-10 weeks before the event.

My save the dates were sent out two weeks after I got engaged (8 months before our wedding) so that people could plan to come for it if they wanted. Our invites will be sent about 3 months prior to the actual wedding date.

I got Married October 28, 2017.Save the dates sent out April 30.Wedding invitations sent August 30, asking for rsvp’s to be back by September 15!
