Was it too soon to test?

I took a pregancy test today and it was a BFN. :/ I am so sad. The negative came up rather quickly. Do you think it was too soon to test? It was a target brand pregancy test. With blue dye. Also, from the looks of when we BD do you think I'm likely to be pregnant just too soon to dance. Ovulation took place on the 11th
