I have been on the combined contraceptive pill and finished the packet yesterday. I will now have my break and should come on my period on 03/08/18 as normal. I won’t be taking any further contraceptive pills.

I’ve read online that your first bleed after coming off the contraceptive pill is known as a withdrawal bleed, and your second bleed is your first natural period.

Will my period on 03/08/18 be the withdrawal bleed? Or will it be my following period that is the withdrawal bleed?

Also, is it the case that you are only likely to fall pregnant after you’ve had the withdrawal bleed and one natural period? Or can you conceive before this?
