Membrane sweep 39+3

Just had my 39 week appointment. My OB checked me and said I am 4 cm dilated and 70% effaced. She did a sweep and asked if it was uncomfortable while she was doing it and I told her not really. She says she’s not sure if it will work since I wasn’t in a lot of pain. Has anyone else had one done and it not be very painful but it worked? She said if it worked I’ll be in labor in the next 24-48 hours. I’m just bummed because she didn’t seem like it will since I wasn’t in excruciating pain.
