anyone have any personal recovery experience with accreta?

I've been diagnosed with accreta and need a hysterectomy after C-section. what is the recovery like and are you still able to breastfeed normally with all the bloodloss?

i had accreta and had a chyst. it was VERY painful trying to sit up from lying down for the first few days. I was on pain meds for a week or 2 after coming home frim the hospital. i had 3 previous csections and once drs opened me up they found that the scar tissue from those was attatched to my bladder so they ended up removing a piece of my bladder. I lost 3L of blood and had a catheter for 2 weeks. my baby was born at 30+3 so I had to pump, and he had a feeding tube. I only attempted nursing a couple times but was too worried he wouldn't eat enough. looking back, im sure he would have been ok. in NICU and at home we added Neosure (preemie formula) in with the breast milk. it adds calories and helps weight gain. we did that for a few months till I dried up, then went straight Neosure for a while, now hes on regular formula. he'll be one in a couple weeks :) how far along are you? at what gestation are they delivering you? search hooe for accreta on FB. youll find some good support groups
