Inducing early NERVOUS(advise?)

Well due date was set for August 27th! And today I went to the ob and he said that I’m super swollen and everything came back perfect on the fetal stress test, and told me that he will be inducing me next Wednesday! Making his due date August 8th! I’m completely nervous any advice?

What?? That’s almost 4 weeks early! If there’s nothing wrong then he should absolutely not even be talking about inducing you! Inductions can cause so much stress for both mama and baby that they can easily turn dangerous. 😞

Sounds like they are concerned it could change to preclampsia just curious is the baby measuring larger too. My due date is also Aug 27 and I will be induced next tuesday the 7th. Mine is due to my blood pressure is going up even though blood work has been good and that my little boy is in the 97% for height and weight they estimated him at out last week ultrasound at over 8 1/2 lbs already and I am not diabetic and only gained 25lbs. Trust your Dr if he feels the baby should be here sooner then later 37 weeks is full term the baby will do great. I had all my kids between 36 and 37 weeks

I’m due the 27th too. I’m jealous you get to meet your baby so soon. That seems like a very early induction date as others have said though

I don’t understand why you are being induced if nothing is wrong? I’ve been pretty swollen but it’s so hot and my dr said since my blood pressure and everything else is fine she’s not concerned.

I also have gestational diabetes and preeclampsia so I was assuming that could be part of it, my BP has been normal but last two weeks it’s been high, I’m not sure why.
