I had my paraguard removed on Wednesday. A week ago tomorrow. And today i started my period. Right on time. The day of and the day after my removal i had some very light spotting. However, my period is not INSANELY heavy and VERY clotted. May be TMI but I’m saying like almost golf ball sized clots and can feel them when they come out if I’m using the bathroom. The Paraguard is not a hormonal IUD so i feel like this should not be an issue. It’s a bit concerning ESPECIALLY because my OBGYN didn’t tell me this was possible and she has made sure to go over EVERYTHING throughout this whole process. I did have some issues with it sitting too low. Had to have it removed and got a new one for it to do the same thing hence the removal last Wednesday. And when that was done i bled because of it but absolutely nothing close to this. Anyone have similar stories? Any advice? I plan to give the nurse line at my OBGYN a call but it’s stressing me out a little.
