Gender ultrasound at 20 weeks?

Hi ladies, I just had NT ultrasound last week. I'm 13 weeks now. I remember my NP saying that the ultrascan at 20 week's gonna be a fun one. Does that mean that I'm going to know the sex only by then? Seems like forever!!! Can ask to have onemore ultrasound in between??

Most insurances done pay for another ultrasound inbetween those two. Also it's not very easy for them to accurately tell the sex before 18 weeks and most like to have you wait for 20

You can look into genetic testing with bloodwork too. That's how we found out the gender. It was the Harmony test.

Unless they can't tell the sex. That happened to me with both my pregnancies. Now I don't know what I'm having. Its disappointing.

We had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and then we have our next one this Friday and I will be 20weeks 1 days, I heard and read it is about 30-45 minutes because they look and measure and you of course get to find out what you are having if you desire! It sucks waiting plus this week has already felt like the longest 2 days and we still have 3 more to get through but I'm sure it will be worth it! Also my 12 week and 16 week apt I got to hear the heartbeat so that was reassurance

You can ask for another ultrasound but I would check with your insurance to make sure it's covered or else you'll be stuck with a bill. My 20week ultrasound was the gender confirmation because we found out at 12weeks. You get to see your baby a lot longer than the first ultrasound. You'll be smiling ear to ear lol.
