I think your personal style and preferences are the only thing that matters and race shouldnt be involved in anything at all. No hair style or type is “meant for ethnic people” or “meant for white people”.

The reason POC get upset about white people using their fashion is because white people have called their styles trashy or unprofessional or have bullied them etc yet when it becomes a trend white people appropriate it

I don’t mind white people getting ethnic hairstyles. It’s when Kim k wears braids and all of a sudden it’s the new craze and I’ve literally along with millions of other poc have been getting our hair styled like that for years. That’s disrespectful.

Do whatever you want. I do. I actually wore them the last 3 days and took them out last night, it will be a cold day in hell before some asshole tells me i cant wear a hairstyle iv literally been rocking since i was 3. 👋🏻
