Need to Talk

So I just talked about the name Lillian with my husband for the first time since being pregnant. It is his deceased Mom’s name. I like Lillian as a whole but I really cannot stand Lillie/Lilly and I know she’ll get that even if I don’t call her that or tell people not to call her that. It’s inevitable. My husband doesn’t get that. He said “if she wants to be called Lilly we’ll call her Lilly or Lil.” That’s the thing, I her Mother don’t want her to be called Lilly so personally I don’t care if she wants to or not. I’m sorry, this is just how I feel. It was a pleasant conversation that will continue if baby is a girl. Right now I really adore Millie which honors both of his parents. The full name would be Emilia. She’d have her own name with a honoring nickname. I shared this with him. He likes Millie. February is so far away!!! I just want a name like I love too. Lillian is an option for a middle name of course! We just haven’t talked about it at this point.
