I live in an environment where the vast majority of people are agnostic or atheist. None of my three close friends, who each have a supportive, healing, and uplifting effect on me, are Christian, although they all respect my faith and are comfortable with it. None of my friends at school are Christian, and that’s the only main group of people I’m interacting with right now. My church (which is sadly pretty out of the way from where I am, so I don’t get to go as often as I like) doesn’t have a teen group, so it’s very hard to approach and make friends there, especially when it’s so rare to see the same people consistently. I just feel like there should be Christian influences on my life when there really isn’t, and I’ve been missing that lately, especially since it was very present with me as a child.
