Is it bad that I don’t want to write back right away..

I have been in love for eight years, we have been through everything together, I’ve stuck around no matter what because we met young so I knew falling in love while he was learning how to be a man was going to come with challenges. Lately when we fought, he would just go ghost on me, it happens way more than it should, the first few days I pushed and pushed for him to just talk to me like an adult and nothing. Finally I gave up because why should I keep chasing someone who doesn’t want to be kept. It’s been five days and he finally texted me saying “I know we haven’t talked but I just want to let you know I love you and always will” and I’m honestly just exhausted with the back and forth and don’t really have anything to reply right now. I still love him but I’m tired. What would you say back or do.
