Looking for advice. Our dog is 2.5 years old and he does not like our 1 year old. The baby has been taught not to touch his bed or grab the dog. On rare occasion she forgets but we usually get her before anything happens. One day I looked down and she grabbed the dog. I corrected her immediately. She was sitting close to his bed and reading a book and he growled at her. We now keep them separated but we can’t do this for life. The dog is always fearful when the baby is in the room and growls when he hears her in the baby monitor. Our house is open concept so there’s no where to put baby gates up. I’m fearful of what may happen in the future with baby #2. He barks and growls at all guests too. We plan on doing a training session but my husband doesn’t believe this is something that can be easily fixed before baby arrives. Would you rehome the dog or do extensive training that cost $1500?
