Red lump on breast

Disclaimer: I already have a doctors appointment for Monday, just looking for input from ladies who have possibly had something similar so I don’t go down the scary rabbit hole that is google.

This lump showed up a little more than a week ago, it wasn’t very red to begin with, and now it’s obviously very red. It’s not a pimple (at least not like any pimple I’ve ever had before, especially on my breast, and I’ve had plenty). It doesn’t hurt, and the lump itself is about the size of a small pea (but the redness is obviously bigger).

I’m trying to convince myself that it’s nothing, but the longer it sticks around the more freaked out I get. I’m getting it checked out in a few days, just really looking for some support right now.

Update: the bump is still there. It’s apparently a cyst that will (hopefully) go away on its own. 🤷‍♀️ I’m considering doing one of those genetic tests kits though, because there is breast cancer in my family. I’d rather know ahead of time rather than wonder every time I feel something off.
