Had an appointment today because my period is 16 days late and is never late but all my hpts have been negative. All I got was a urine test and a “if it still hasn’t shown in a week and your at home tests are still negative give us another call and we’ll get you a prescription for progesterone to jump start your period.” No blood test, no exam of any sort. And it seems that no matter how late I am I won’t be getting a blood test, she was not interested in that idea at all because “usually a urine test would show positive by two weeks after a missed period, so it’s unlikely you are pregnant. You’re probably just having an unusual cycle.”

I’d just like to be absolutely certain before I force start a period, but maybe I’m just being ridiculous?
