It's caused by the friction of your pubic hair against your underwear especially if you wear jeans a lot.

I've read about this! I actually have a client who has dark spots then eventually holes in her underwear. My first thought was that she had some type of STD too. As it turns out, it comes from the acidity of your urine, and in some cases even you secretions down there. Try drinking more water. If your body's pH is off it can effect other things as well....

That is completely normal. You can't get holes from an STD or anything bad. If it's cheap under wear and your acidity level goes up, then it will happen when you discharge (the wet spot on your underwear) PS. I get it all the time 😊
