Partial Leg Paralysis after Epidural?
Prayers for my cousin! She’s been through the ringer. Went to be induced Tuesday night in her 36th weeks because of high blood pressure and protein in her urine, and they couldn’t even start pitocin until she dilated 4-5cm, and they couldn’t insert a balloon until at least 1cm and she was completely closed and firm. So around a day after meds to start dilation, and the balloon, they start pitocin. Around 24 hours later, she’s been pushing for 2 hours and baby is face up. They schedule emergency C section and baby is born in the 3pm hour! She’s SOOO cute.
But now my cousin, almost 24 hours later, is still so overwhelmed and exhausted, and has partial leg paralysis. My aunt said she almost fell to the floor when they tried to stand her up. She’s just been through so much the last few days and is totally exhausted and discouraged and overwhelmed. Please pray for her! <3
Did anyone else experience weird epidural side effects? Note: I’m assuming it was the epidural but I haven’t been told that and I really have no idea. Anyone think it could be something else?
