alright so this past week, my friend told me that she found out that she had a lice infestation that she’s had unknowingly for a couple weeks. she treated it on Tuesday and used the special shampoo/spray/comb. I was set to go to her birthday party on Friday and I would have felt bad for not going so I went anyways. she said that she went to the ER for something else and that they checked her head and that the nurses said that she didn’t have lice, and that she cleaned and washed everything twice. she also said that she’s been sectioning and combing off her hair everyday and she hasn’t found anything.

I am writing this 3 hours after the birthday party and after my mom checked my hair. We are unable to find any lice, and we found a lot of (what we believe to be) dandruff (since it could easily be shaken off my hair). HOWEVER, we found one small white/yellowish oval-shaped particle near my scalp on the root of my hair that was difficult to remove. do I have lice? all my research has told me contradicting things and I’m wondering if anybody has personal experience with a situation like this...

please help!!! I’m so stressed !!!
