I am seeking wisdom and advice to keep my strength throughout this battle to recovery with my boyfriend. He has abused opiates for 10 years. We have been together a year he’s tried getting clean a few times not getting past day 4. We are officially 3 weeks in this time due to me confronting his parents, sister in law, and brother about him not being clean. He is supplementing with an herb called Kratom to get through the worst of it. It has worked tremendously. However we are now to the PAWS stage in my opinion. He seems distant and stuck in his head. Not as loving. It’s taking its toll of me emotionally and I’m trying to cope with that without adding stress to him. Any advice from anyone who is dealing or dealt with this. I love him very much and want to be positive for him during this time.
