Toddler has fishy smelling breath?

My 2 year olds breath has been smelling so weird lately, best way i can describe it is a fishy smell. I’ve been brushing his teeth and it just won’t go away. It’s been like this for 2-3 days now. Anyone know what this could be?? He seems completely himself otherwise.

my little boys breath Is always bad when he's sick but particularly with tonsillitis. might be no harm to get him checked.
