Diluting tea tree oil

I have just a small bottle. It’s .5 fl oz/15 ml. I want to have it already diluted and ready to use. I’m not sure if I should just pour it into a mason jar with some water or do something else. Is that even okay to do? Lol. I’m also considering just putting some coconut oil in a container from lush and mixing some tea tree oil into it. I am not using it for acne so it likely won’t be going on my face.
