33 weeks pregnant...grandfather in critical condition. How will this effect baby?

Question

My grandfather fell down the basement stairs yesterday broke his hip fractured his skull and back and has a collapsed lung
I haven’t been to see him...don’t want to stress baby
Right now get a call his heart stopped 3 times and they can’t stabilize him he also has a no ventilator order
I’m a wreck...I’m scared of going into labor
Any advice ???

you need to keep yourself as calm as possible. I know it's easier said than done. you and baby will be okay. for my first pregnancy I lost my brother in law. and during this pregnancy I just lost my grandfather. think of how strong you are just creating human life. your a damn warrior and will get through it. but also, don't hold your emotions in!

I know what you’re feeling. At 9 weeks pregnant I got a phone call that my house had been broken into and shot up. (Husband works out of town and thankfully was truly only broken into not shot up). One week later I found out my father had pancreatic cancer. At 16 weeks he had multiple seizures and wasn’t able to make his surgery. At 23 weeks he fell and was in the hospital. I sadly lost my father at 24 weeks pregnant. It was and has been hard to grieve and deal with the many stresses that have come my way. I often find myself having a “breaking” moment but quickly pull it together because I don’t want to stress my baby girl out. Your body will let you know if something is wrong. I continued to tell myself that I have to be strong. Strong for me, my mother, my brother and sisters, and my baby. During this pregnancy I’ve felt more connected to my baby each and every time something happens. She will kick a little more and roll a little more, she’s letting me know that she’s here and that we’re going to be ok. 
I think as long has you speak openly about how you’re feeling, don’t bottle it up, allow yourself to have breaking moments. You’ll be okay. I’m sorry you’re going through something tragic as well. I hope, wish and pray for the best for your grandfather. Remember that your baby will tell you if something is wrong. I’m a believer of that. ❤️

Well he passed this evening and I was doing  pretty good holding it together....but I just had a super breakdown and now I’m cramping like crazy

my suggestion is go visit him. do what you need to to keep calm.  I lost my father during my first pregnancy. the baby can sense ur emotions. just dont get hysterical.
