Any tips on dealing with an ingrown toenail?

I made the mistake of cutting my toenail too short and now I’m trying to grow it out but I’m scared. I don’t want it to get so bad that I have to get surgery.

I always get them and when I try to get rid of them it gets worse so I recommend to just go to the chiropodist

Soak it in hot water with epsom salt for 20 minutes twice a day. 
And the “surgery” for removing an ingrown toenail is super minor, like less than 20 minutes minor, and healing time isn’t bad either.  Like 2 weeks or less before it’s fully healed. I e had close to 7 or 8 ingrown toenails cut out and part of my toenail permanently killed each time. I did pointe, cheer, running, everything during healing time. But the epsom salt water trick can keep infection away and keep me from having to get more of my nail cut out.

Soak it in hot water and clean it regularly. And try to push ur skin away from ur nail
