Baby boy peeing through diapers-advice?

We have a 3 week old newborn baby boy who seems to pee through several diapers/outfits a day. Any advice??

Make sure his man bits are pointed down when you put his diaper on. I just had my 2nd baby boy and it was a game changer with my first.

We have liked the Pampers swaddlers and Pampers Pure the best so far. We also tried the target brand but they glue to his booty after 5 minutes of having a dirty diaper so those are out for us. Going to try Costco brand once he moves into size 1.

I've read that babies often start outgrowing the absorbency before they outgrow the size. We are using cloth and I've been using the next size up prefold for a few days now for the extra absorbency and it's made a huge difference!

Same! My boy will be 3 weeks old Wednesday and this was a problem for a while. Problem for me was I was waiting too long between diaper changes...he just isn’t bothered by a dirty diaper lol. We use pampers swaddlers and still in newborn at the moment (he was 8.14 when born). It’s entirely too hard to try and point his little wiener down during diaper changes bc he screams non stop and kicks his legs as hard and fast as possible the entire time, I’m lucky to get the damn thing fastened correctly 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve been changing his diapers like once an hour or two and it has helped tremendously.

Also try the next size up diapers. My son was 9 12.1 oz he wore newborn for a week and after him peeing thru three times in one day I switched to size ones. Been much better also as previous poster said make sure his Weiner is pointing down. But if he pees a lot it stil happens on occasion. Also may be the brand of diapers. I hate pampers swaddles. I love parents choice from Walmart!

What diapers are you using? I’m currently using pampers and decided to give huggies a try and it kept leaking for huggies so we switched back to pampers. Maybe try changing diaper brands?

Definitely make every effort to point his penis down during diaper changes so he doesn’t pee up out of his diaper. 
Also, I recommend Luvs diapers, they’re (in my opinion) way more absorbent than Pampers and really guard against leaks and blowouts
