2 positive pregnancy tests, what next?

I was a week late and I took two pregnancy tests and they both came back positive! Do I go ahead and call my GYN. What’s the next step?

Call your gyn and tell them you’ve gotten a positive at home test.  They probably won’t schedule you for an appointment until around the 6-8 week mark. They will probably be able to answer some basic questions about nutrition, your exercise routine, etc. if you have them. They will probably tell you what kinds of symptoms or things you may feel over the next few weeks. Congrats!

You can certainly call if you would like, but most OBs won’t see you until at least 8 weeks, though some wait until 12.
Until your first appointment there isn’t much to do, honestly. Go get some prenatal vitamins, take them daily, and stay hydrated. Stay alive! Lol it’s that simple.

Call your OB. They will set up an appointment for you. Some do it as early as 6 weeks just to confirm, others won’t do the first appointment until 10-12 weeks. If they do it at 6 weeks, it is unlikely you will get an ultrasound at that point because there is really nothing to see until at least 7-8 weeks.
