30 and no career?

Question

do people with no career feel at ease with life?.
Say they are a manager at McDonald or work as a security officer do they feel as long as they are making money and can support themselves having a career doesn’t matter?
If your older than me are you content in your job? Or do you feel like your always looking for more?

Some people make McDonald’s their career, just because it’s not your ideal career doesn’t mean it’s not one. That being said though no matter where you look you’ll find people who are happy doing what they are doing, or people who wish to step up the ladder, it’s just depending on the persons wants and goals

I wonder about this too. I have a couple of friends who still work in hospitality/retail/supermarkets in their 30s. One of them is always looking for jobs in different fields, but another (although she complains about work a lot) seems to be quite willing to stay there.

Some people believe thats as good as they can do. Some people get laid off from their careers. Some people just dont need to have anything more. Some people work just to get out of the house and not because its their livelihood. When my sister worked at kohls, she had a coworker who was an older lady that drove an expensive sports car with a vanity plate. Her husband was rich and she just worked so she didnt get bored. Many women step down from higher jobs and careers to be able to be closer to their families.

I’m 40 and I do accounting at a casino. I love going to work. I work with great people. I don’t necessarily make great money but my husband makes over 100K per year so we live a very comfortable life. 
I’m very happy at my job but it’s from having a good life. 
You can be a manager at McDonald’s or a security guard and love your spouse and love your kids and be happy where you work.

McDonalds managers have health benefits, 401k, and are managers for a large company. Just because it’s not your ideal career doesn’t mean it can’t be made into a career.
