how do you do this?

I'm starting to work out and for me working out is the easiest part... but I cannot diet or get on a meal plan without giving up after a week or so.

Does anyone have any tips?

What workouts to help achieve slimmer but toned waist?

My waist size is currently around 32 inches... the biggest it's been. I'm wondering if it would be possible to drop a few inches within a month? Obviously if I stick to healthy eating and regular exercise. I'm 19 and have no direction how to do any of this.
