I am the legal guardian of a friends child. He and the mother both are not fit to take care of a baby. They think they are. DHS advised me and my husband to go for full custody. However I have been friends the dad for a few years and he really trusts me. I dont want to be that monster that takes his baby from him. On the other hand, this baby trusts me, and I cant be the monster that puts her back in the situation she was in before. I really could use some input on what to do.
