I’ve been contemplating for a while now on getting a daith piercing, I think I just need a little more time prepare myself for the pain. Does anyone have any experience / stories?

Mine didn’t really hurt much at all and plus whatever pain you feel getting it done won’t last long. Mine also healed pretty easily, but it took closer to a year to fully heal. I also always keep the jewelry I was pierced with, in for a full year plus before changing it, just because I want to be 100% positive it’s fully healed. 
Sometimes I even forget I have it cause of where it’s at and I have a curved barbell in it, so if I look in the mirror I can’t see it. But I absolutely love it and I think they are super cute.

I'm thinking about getting a daith piercing for my chronic daily headaches, apparently it helps for migraines.
I've got a couple questions tho
Can you still wear headphones? Did it hurt? Is it easy to change the ring you have in it?
So far I only have had my lower ear pierced when I was 9 so I haven't had a lot of experience when it comes to piecing.
If anyone has any pearls of wisdom that would be great!

I did not feel a thing with mine. I actually had to ask her if she even did it and needed a mirror to see cuz I didn't believe it. It only hurt about two days after, a little throbbing but no big deal and lasted a day.

I got daith piercings in both ears almost two years ago. I guess everyone has high pain tolerances, but for me, it hurt A LOT. My friend who has just about every piercing imaginable only got one daith piercing because of the pain.
BUT, it literally cured my migraines. I had such severe migraines i would come home from work and lie down in a dark, quiet room every day. Excedderin migraine didnt touch the pain. I have a social life again! 😂
It hurt, but it was so worth it. The pain only lasted about a week for me. If youre getting both ears done, I recommend getting one ear pierced at a time. There will be some decent swelling and discomfort in the first days after getting the piercing, and if you sleep on your side or stomach, the fresh piercings will make it difficult. 
I also highly recommend getting a barbell, horseshoe ring, or captive bead ring. The "seamless" rings still have a slight seam that can irritate the piercing holes when the jewelry is turned while cleaning.

I have a daith and I love it! I’ve gotten my helix, daith and belly pierced and daith was the most painful, but not really that much more than my helix. 
The healing was nice because since it’s inside your ear it doesnt catch on anything. 
Some downsides are that it’s kinda hard to change it yourself, especially if you have a captive ring. I just go to my piercer and have her help me 
Also something I didn’t think about til after was the fact I couldn’t wear earbuds for a while. It would hurt while healing. Now that it’s healed I can put one in but it’s still a little uncomfortable. 
But i love it and would still recommend it!

the pain only lasts for like 2 min then its over with your ear will be sore but its really not that bad
