I got my BFP this morning after trying for 14 long months, so much tracking, and so much testing. I had finally truly stopped paying attention or tracking anything this cycle, but its the fourth cycle after my lap, so not sure what did it but it happened!

I can’t wait to tell my husband but I want to surprise him. I have an idea that’s very ‘us’ but I need help with how to execute it.

So when my husband and I were dating, Jimmy Kimmel was doing this “Baby Bachelorette” series that was super adorable (seriously, watch it!). I’m into the Bachelor stuff so I thought it was the cutest thing ever. These five year old kids try wooing the girl, she hands out unicorns instead of roses, propose with ring pops... you get the idea.

So my husband (BF at the time) was going on a trip so I packed some goodies in this unicorn basket I found at World Market. I asked him if he would accept my unicorn and he said “with all my heart.” Another time he came over and surprised me with his ukelele like the kids did in the video. Then he really proposed with a ring pop. I love that this theme has stuck with us and I’ve seen those candy bottles at the store and thought how cute that would be to keep it going! But I don’t know how to present it to him.

FYI his mom is at our house because she’s flying late tonight out of the airport near us and I want this moment between just him and me, so I won’t have time alone in the house after she’s gone to do it tonight. I also want to try recording his reaction. I thought about using the unicorn, ukelele, and a ring pop as a trail to the bedroom but don’t think I could film it well. I also want it to be kind of quick because he knows my period is late and I don’t want him to guess before I actually tell him.

I’m open to more simple ideas too so I appreciate any ideas you have! I’m going to be obsessing all day about this and don’t want to tell anyone (besides you guys anonymously 🤗) before my husband so I can’t ask anyone else. Thanks in advance!
