11-month-old and “regular” milk?

Is giving your baby regular milk before 1 year *that* bad? My little bub is 11 months + 1 week, and my husband has been asking about transitioning him to regular milk. I know it’s not recommended for a myriad of reasons, but is 11 months too early still? Or would it be fine to slowly begin the transition?

I think a slow transition would be okay since baby would still be getting bm or formula and not just strictly whole milk. it tends to be hard on babies bellies. we did a 4 week transition where we did
week 1- 3/4 bm or formula, 1/4 whole milk
week 2- half and half
week 3- 3/4 whole milk, 1/4 bm or formula
week 4- 100% whole milk
we didn't do this until after age one but with your child being 11 months if you choose to do this then baby will be on whole milk by age one anyways.

Should be fine, but you should always get your pediatrician’s approval first. Plus you should ensure he’s getting adequate vitamins since cow’s milk contains very little nutrients. Sometimes a pediatrician will prescribe a liquid multivitamin and if not you can buy some over the counter.
