Bloody show!?

I had my bloody show today and been having contractions for the past 3 days... nothing under 5 min apart. Doesn’t labor start soon after bloody show? 40 weeks and 5 days!!!

I had bloody show on Friday and been having contractions 8-10 min apart and very intense (wake me up in the middle of the night) since 9pm Saturday. L&D; said I’m in early active labor. Well it’s been over 40 hrs and I still can’t get them to be closer
