Since I’ve been recording my cycle with bbt and opks etc my positive ovulation tests and ewcm have always been spot on in the middle of my cycle around cd11-14.

Last month I had a positive opk on cd9 but no ewcm so I kept testing as I was pretty certain I’d not ovulated yet. Anyway I was right, my opks got darker and i got another positive a week later and this time with ewcm.

I didn’t conceive but AF was a few days late as expected with having a late ovulation etc. But my period only lasted 2.5 days this time (its usually 4-5 days with lots of spotting either side)

Anyway, I’m now only on cd5 of my new cycle but I’m already getting ewcm and my opks are getting dark too.

I’m pretty certain I’m going to ovulate in the next few days which is going to be a week early!!

I just wanted to share my experience as I know there’s always loads of questions about when to test with opks and worrying about missing your LH surge.

It is possible to have a really early LH surge/ovulation so don’t just rely on what Glow tells you and make sure you’re BD’ing every couple of days from AF to make sure you catch that little fertile window.
