Could I be pregnant

So I was due last week Thursday and didn’t come on but was feeling the periods pains, however woke up Friday morning did a test and it was negative I had the mirena fitted on the Friday but I still have not had a period is this normal? The nurse said that if I don’t come on after a week to do another test
