A little help please...

So a friend of mine called and wanted to know if I would take in an abused/malnourished kitten. Knowing my tomcat had just passed away, she knew i could use the companionship and I could provide this sweet baby girl with a good loving home. I have everything already food, toys, food bowl and water bowl, litter box, bed ect... but not litter...😧 I dont get paid until friday and am limited to less than 5 bucks. I will be getting her Wednesday. I need some cheap ideas for litter untill then?? (hubby says sand or dirt from the yard but it doesnt seem very sanitary for an 8 week old kitten...Any advice would be great. Thx
