Hubby Away @ 36 Weeks? ✈️

First time mama here, wondering what you girls would do in my situation: My husband and I annually attend a memorial golf tournament (for a really close friend who passed away) every year in Oregon. We live in LA. This year the tournament happens to fall 4 weeks before my due date. I am not going to go, but my husband is really struggling with not attending. It was his best friend who passed away, and he suggested just flying in and out for a day trip to make the tournament. It's a 2 hour flight from Los Angeles to Portland. I personally don't feel comfortable with him being a whole plane right away (a lot can happen in a few hours!), but didn't know if I am just worrying too much. What would you and your hubby decide? Is it just worth it to skip it, or should he go since I'm that far away from my due date? Thanks for your opinions! ☺️
