Ok so I may sound stupid but this question have been annoying me. Im currently pregnant and not 100% decided on my birth plan yet.

So my biggest fear is to rip/tear in my private area.

I don’t want an epidural but I’m scared to have a rip down there and then regret not getting the epidural so I wouldn’t feel the pain or feel the stitches.

If I don’t have an epidural and rip down there does it hurt to get stitches? Do they numb you down there with a needle, does that hurt?

I feel like the only reason I would have an epidural is if I knew I was going to rip and if it was gonna be painful, but obviously nobody knows if I will rip and I don’t want to get an epidural and I don’t rip

Does this make sense? It makes sense in my head😂
