Daysy (By the Lady-Comp Company)
Hi guys, I just wanted to give my experience with birth control, and also talk about the hormone free method I'm using now. It's great for those of us who want something instead of hormonal birth control. Or for those of us who do manual charting, and want something more.
I was on birth control for months and ended up experiencing a lot of the side effects that caused me to switch off. I had headaches, mood swings, LOW libido (which defeated the purpose of being on BC), nausea, bloating, spotting and more. I wanted to be safe but at the same time I just couldn't handle the side effects.
I ended up switching off the pill and stuck to condoms (which I hated) after the symptoms ended up getting worse. My doctor kept telling me that I should get back on the pill or use the patch or something, but I was no longer comfortable with artificial hormones as I was to start with. But at the same time what other options are there?
Yes condoms are the first things that come to mind, but if we're being honest who really likes them? I use condoms often, but they take the intimacy away from sex. It's like no matter how much you pretend it isn't there, you feel it! This barrier between you and your partner. 😫
So, I did a bunch of research to find something that was hormone free and natural, and I actually came across a really interesting device called Daysy.
Daysy is made by the same people that make Lady-Comp (the fertility monitor), and what she does is tell you when you can and can't have unprotected sex based on when you ovulate. In actuality a woman can only get pregnant 6 days out of her cycle. (As most of us already know) 💁 So why freak out about getting pregnant every second of everyday?
I highly suggest you guys check out Daysy or Lady-Comp if you are looking for hormone free alternatives to birth control. Its 99.3% effective, and it's really been a blessing for me. I can't give enough praise to it.
Check it out if that's something you may be interested in. It's a great choice for those who want off their birth control or who can't take hormonal birth control.
(Also, I know it can come as a shock the price to start off, but I used PayPal to finance mine, and what they do is give you 6 months to pay off your purchase of $99 or more interest free. So it wasn't such a hit to my wallet. And they last for 10+ years so I know I can count on this for the long haul.)
