Should I ask my doctor about the possibility of endometriosis?
So I've been experiencing weird symptoms for awhile now.
I have always suffered from extremely bad cramping during my menstrual cycle. The first time it happened I ended up in a CareNow at age 15. I was sweating, shaking, and couldn't get up because the cramps were so painful.
This continued every cycle until I was given birth control.
The birth control helped it so that it wasn't unbearable. However, I still have significant cramps. More than any of my girl friends. I also cramp outside of my cycle. Especially when I'm having trouble passing a bowel movement or if I just hit a huge bump in the road.
I also get these weird flutters or jerks in my abdomen which I read one women said she had before she found out she had Endo.
I also find it hard to have sex in certain positions because it begins to hurt after awhile. It can get pretty annoying.
My OBGYN wanted me to talk to my Gastroenterologist to see if maybe my IBS was contributing. He gave me medicine that might help but it hasn't helped with the cramping at least. I'm supposed to check back in with her this Thursday. Should I bring up endometriosis?
