What does bleeding during active pills mean

Question

I am on my second month of birth control and for the past two pack within the first week of the pill cycle I have had bleeding but it starts out really dark. That last for about 5 days then at the end of the pack I have my normal period on the placebo pills. I have an appointment with my gyno coming up in the next two weeks but I wanted to know if anyone has experienced this before and if I should be really worried.
