Someone else recently posted about PCOS interfering with breastfeeding success, and as a FTM with PCOS whose due date is right around the corner, I was curious enough about this topic to turn it into a poll. Feel free to elaborate on your response in the comments, and add any tips or advice you have! Thanks!

I have PCOS and had great success breastfeeding my son. We had some trouble the 1st week but that was because he wanted the milk right then and fussed when my let down wasn't quick enough. Supply wise, I was able to feed him exactly what he needed and never had an issue. I am lucky to be a stay at home mom and hardly had to pump.

Hell no!!! Breastfeeding takes time and pcos has nothing to do with it 🙌🏻. The first week is basically practice for both of you. See a lactation consultant ASAP. My hospital also has a class that we went to ate 8 days old. It was totally worth it. I’d say we have it almost mastered at 12 days old. He no longer gets formula (supplement for growth) since my milk is in and we’re doing well. 😊. Give it time

I have an oversupply if anything, so we have been breastfeeding for seven months now. My friend who also has pcos lost her supply totally at 4-5months.

I am assuming they were saying the hormone imbalance messed with their supply?  This is possible, but not always the case.
 
I needed an IUI to conceive my son (after 7 years trying).  I have flat nipples and he never latched right, so I didn’t breastfeed, BUT I responded very well to the pump and over produced almost double what my hungry monster ate.  I pumped until 13 months pp (and only stopped because I conceived #2 by surprise).

With my first I didn't make enough milk so I had to supplement with formula. I am currently pregnant and hoping I don't have the same issue for this one, but we will see.

I'm not sure if it's PCOS or not but I had supply issues with my son. Now I have 5 week old twins and have to supplement them with formula.

Mine interfered with my milk supply and my milk dried up 4.5 minths p.p. pregnant with #2 and hoping we do better.

It did interfere with my milk production.  No matter what I tried I produced little milk. Every case of PCOS is different.
