Tips!?

Does anyone know any tips/tricks to help your cervix start dilating/ thinning? Gonna be 40 weeks tomorrow and I’m miserable 😭  At the doctors yesterday I was told that my cervix is still high, firm, and completely closed. She said she did pull it forward (which hurt like hell) and that hopefully might get things started

following. I've veen walking 5 miles a day, taking epo vaginally and orally, and have taken castor oil 3 times and haven't gotten anywhere.

Walking, lots of walking.
Spicy food could possibly help.
Bouncing, rolling your hips on an exercise ball.
Squats, pelvic tilts.
Eating dates can help induce labour (there are some interesting studies showing this, but the women had all ate dates regularly from about 36 weeks).
Also sex - prostaglandins in sperm can help induce labour.
Oh and nipple stimulation can cause uterine contractions - check out evidence based birth channel on YouTube. There’s a series of videos outlining the evidence of all of the above and how it can induce labour.

Sex. Semen has properties known to soften the cervix and when you orgasm you release oxytocin that’ll help too.
