What are the benefits of marriage for a man

Marriage seems geared towards women & even during a divorce the woman wins in the end so what’s in it for the men? Not saying anyone should get married based on what’s in it for them but I personally feel like it’s a set up.

There are actually studies that have shown that marriage benefits men more than women in terms of overall happiness, health, and life expectancy increases. Men also tend to get remarry sooner after being divorced.

Excuse me but women do not always win a divorce. Get over these misconceptions.

Tax benefits, insurance, death benefits... it also depends if you live in a no fault state for divorce. It is very assuming to think that it only benefits women, I know a lot of women that are the main bread winners as well and can look at it the same way you do. I think the main point, hard to tell if it is a benefit or not, is that it is harder to get out of than a relationship that doesn't have the government involved so people tend to try and make it work. Historically, because men used to be the main bread winners, laws were designed so that if a woman were to give up her job and career as well as other suitors she would be protected and not left destitute because a man left her. You have to remember until quite recently some states did not even allow women to get loans with out a male signatory. Less than 100 years ago we did not have the right to vote. So things are changed by but it might be agile before they align fully if ever.
