Would you vote for the other party?

Question

This poll is targeted to U.S. voters. Do you vote along strict party lines for the president? That is if you're a Republican, would you ever vote Democrat in a presidential election? If you're a Democrat, would you ever vote Republican in a presidential election?
   
Poll Question: What are you, and would you ever vote the other party if it had a better *presidential* candidate?

I can't imagine that enough of my views would align with a Republican candidate take me vote for them.

But find me one who does agree with me and sure.

I vote with whoever I agree with. If that's a democrat, that's how I vote that particular year. If it's a republican, same deal.

The trouble is I have strong convictions that I cannot compromise on.  I have never seen a Democrat running for anything that shares those convictions.  If there were I would happily vote for them, as I do agre with them on several other issues.  But I cannot bend on several key things.   
I understand that the person I vote for will not/cannot change what already is but at least those things do not become worse under their leadership.  That said I am not voting for Trump.....

I actually just changed my political affiliation from the Green Party to the Democratic party so that I can vote in the primaries. I feel like as I've gotten older, my political views more so align with the democratic party, unfortunately I have been a bit unimpressed with our current administration as of late. With that being said, I have yet to find a Republican candidate that supports anything that I stand for. If I felt that there was a Republican candidate that fit  what I'm looking for in a leader, I would vote for them. So far this hasn't happened. I'm impressed with Bernie Sanders, so he has my vote. But to answer the question fully, I vote for the right person for the job, regardless of political affiliation.

I refuse to pick a party. I think our party system is the dumbest idea and it's what bogs us down. Whatever happened to a person being themself. Why must it be so hardcore Republican or hardcore Democrat? It should just be..  You and how you feel. The world is not black or white, there is so much gray in between, so why do we operate this way?

I vote for the candidate that meets my needs. (Usually Libertarian). I am likely voting democratic if Bernie Sanders is the choice in 2016!!

Im not sure what I indentify with. I dont really understand politics enough to say either way. I just want someone who isnt going to run our country into the ground. Someone with morals and values and who has the people of this country in mind.

I have voted both ways in the past. After Obama, I will be very reluctant to vote for another democrat. That being said, I think America is in a downward spiral that can only be remedied by abandoning partisanship and uniting for our nation.
